In Media/theque!, the resident artist is only limited to the tools they employ in their medium. The role of the resident artist is curated in a way that allows for active, responsive interventions that take into account the temporality of the program and the physical limitations of the artists. The project does not aim to create predictable, monumental spaces, but rather to generate systems that are anticipatory, communicative, and performative. By considering the scenarios that the architecture can support, this proposal seeks to cultivate the needs and desires of the space in a way that encourages innovation and experimentation.
